In 2023, Illicit experienced a significant leap in the caliber of events and acts, establishing itself as a prominent player in the music scene. The year kicked off with a dynamic back-to-back set featuring Holly Lester and Collie in Bow Lane Social Club.

Illicit played a pivotal role in hosting a leg of Sorley's Streetbox inaugural tour in Dublin, featuring esteemed guests such as Madvilla and Lucas Alexander. The brand also expanded its reach by organizing its first event in Cork with Outlaw'd, bringing over UK duo Denham Audio and EC2A label boss Dr. Dubplate.

The pinnacle of the year came with the hosting of Drum & Bass giants Chase and Status in Dublin for a sell-out show. This event solidified Illicit's reputation as one of the premier nights in Dublin throughout 2023, earning recognition from Four Four magazine.

To conclude the year on a high note, Illicit launched a sub-brand, Valhalla, catering to a darker side of music. The techno-focused event featured acts like Slin & Tarkno, and it proved to be a massive success.
